Our story

Built by a developer, tired of bloated analytics

Web Analyzer App started as a frustration with GA4. It grew into a full analytics platform built around one idea: your visitors' data belongs to you.

Why we built this

Every project we worked on needed analytics. The obvious choice was Google Analytics — it's free, it's everywhere. But every time we added it, we were handing our visitors' data to an advertising company, adding 45 KB to every page load, and triggering GDPR consent banners that hurt conversions.

The alternatives were either too expensive, too simple, or required self-hosting on our own infrastructure. We wanted something in between: a fully-hosted platform with real depth — sessions, funnels, events, uptime — that never compromised on privacy or performance.

So we built it. Web Analyzer App is the analytics tool we always wanted to use ourselves.

What we believe

Analytics should give you insight into your product, not into your visitors as people. We believe in collecting the minimum data necessary to answer the questions that actually matter: how do people use my site, where do they come from, and where are they dropping off?

We don't set cookies. We don't store raw IP addresses. We don't build profiles on your visitors. We don't share any data with third parties — ever. Your analytics data is yours, period.

How the tracker works

Our tracker is a 2 KB JavaScript file that loads asynchronously so it never blocks your page. When a visitor loads your site, we record:

  • Which page was viewed and how long the visitor stayed
  • The referring URL and UTM parameters (if present)
  • An approximate geographic location derived from the IP address — the IP itself is never stored
  • The browser family, operating system, and device type from the user-agent string
  • A session-scoped UUID stored in memory (not a persistent cookie)

That's it. No fingerprinting. No cross-site tracking. No advertising ID. Nothing that identifies your visitors as individuals.

Where your data lives

All analytics data is stored in our own database. We do not send your data to any third-party analytics, data warehousing, or advertising platform. The only third-party service we use is Stripe for payment processing — and Stripe never has access to your analytics data.

You can delete your data at any time from your account settings. When you close your account, all website and analytics data associated with it is permanently removed.

Who's behind this

Web Analyzer App is an independent product — not a venture-backed startup optimizing for growth at any cost. We're a small team that cares about building software that respects both users and their visitors. We're sustainable through subscriptions, not through data monetization.

We think that's the right business model for a privacy-focused product. When the product is the product — not the data — your interests and ours are aligned.

Our commitments

No cookies, ever

We identify sessions using an in-memory UUID that expires when the browser closes. We will never store a persistent tracking cookie.

🚫

No third-party data sharing

🗑

Your data is yours

You can export or delete your data at any time. When you close your account, everything is wiped permanently within 30 days.
