Web Analyzer App is an independent product. No VC funding, no data-monetization business model, no advertising network behind it. Just a developer who wanted better analytics and decided to build them.
Analytics should give you insight into how people use your product — not turn your visitors into a data asset.
The minimum data required to answer "what pages perform best, where does traffic come from, and where do users drop off?" is far less than what most analytics platforms collect.
Our principles
Cookie-free by default, no IP storage, no personal data collection. Visitors are identified by a UUID in localStorage. A cookie is only set as a fallback when localStorage is unavailable — no third-party tracking cookies are ever used.
No names, email addresses, or IP addresses are stored. Analytics is about behaviour patterns — what pages work, where traffic comes from — not about identifying individuals. A clean dashboard, not a bloated warehouse.
A 2 KB tracker that loads asynchronously and never blocks your page. No external dependencies, no layout shifts, less than 1 ms Total Blocking Time. Your site stays fast.
Our privacy policy and terms of service are written in plain English — not legalese designed to obscure what we actually do. We believe the right business model for a privacy-first product is subscriptions, not data.

I've been building web applications professionally for years. Every project eventually needed analytics, and every time the answer was Google Analytics — a 45 KB script that set cookies, fed an advertising network, and required a consent banner that hurt conversions. I tried the alternatives. Some were too simple. Some were too expensive. Most required self-hosting infrastructure I didn't want to maintain.
So in 2024 I built the tool I actually wanted: full session analytics, visitor journeys, uptime monitoring, custom events — in a 2 KB tracker that sets no cookies and needs no consent banner. Web Analyzer App is the product I run on my own projects.
Google Analytics is free because Google monetises your visitors' data to power its ad network. GA4 also ships a ~45 KB JavaScript bundle that slows your page, requires a GDPR cookie consent banner (which typically reduces conversions by 10-20%), and has a learning curve steep enough that most teams never fully configure it correctly.
Privacy-first alternatives like Plausible and Fathom are better — but most are aggregated-only. You can see page counts; you can't follow a single visitor's journey through your site, set up multi-step funnels, or monitor uptime. The depth just isn't there.
Web Analyzer App was built to fill that gap: real session-level analytics, visitor journey timelines, conversion funnels, and uptime monitoring — with a 2 KB tracker that collects no personal data and never needs a consent banner.
When a visitor loads your site, our tracker records:

Infrastructure & data storage
All infrastructure is hosted on EU-based servers across multiple European locations. Your data never leaves the EU.
All session, visitor, page view, and event data is stored in a MySQL database on our EU-based servers. Infrastructure is distributed across multiple European locations for redundancy. Your data never leaves the European Union and is not stored in any third-party data warehouse or analytics platform.
Billing is handled by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers or payment details. Stripe processes your payment data under their own PCI-DSS compliance framework — your analytics data is never shared with Stripe.
IP addresses are used once, in memory, to look up approximate country and city via a geolocation API. The raw IP address is never written to our database. Only the derived country and city string is stored — which cannot be used to re-identify a visitor.
You can delete individual websites or your entire account from your dashboard at any time. Deleting a website removes all associated sessions, visitors, page views, and events immediately. Account deletion triggers a full data wipe within 30 days.
We use zero third-party analytics tools on our own website — we eat our own cooking and run Web Analyzer App on webanalyzerapp.com. Beyond Stripe for payments, we do not share your data — or your visitors' data — with any third party for any purpose. There are no advertising pixels, no retargeting networks, no data brokers, and no "analytics partners" in our data pipeline.
Sessions are identified using an in-memory UUID held in sessionStorage — it disappears when the browser tab closes. We will never set a persistent tracking cookie.

Export or delete your data at any time from your dashboard. Account deletion triggers a permanent wipe within 30 days — no retention "just in case".
Because we collect no personal data and set no cookies, no consent banner is legally required under GDPR, CCPA, or PECR. Your site's conversion rate stays intact.
